IN THE BEGINNING
Our story begins in Solaria, a flourishing land inhabited by a thriving population. Stretching across a number of islands, the state of Solaria was shared by an assortment of tribes.
In the plains resided the Apes and Monkes, agricultural tribes that put the soil to work and harvested the fruits of their labour.
Perched in the cliffs were the Birdz, laid-back creatures that loved to fish and lie in the afternoon sun.
In the valleys, hot as the fires of hell, lived the Grims of the South — who looked like they had crawled to the surface of the earth from its molten core.
The North of Solaria was a frozen tundra, and there ruled the Penguins from an igloo so large it almost blocked out the sun.
Then there were the digital communities of the Solarians and Aurorians, who, in their generosity, had built infrastructure and networks to connect all of Solaria.
Finally, on an island in a little corner, close to the tip where land met infinite space, lived the solitary but peaceful Solstead Owners, who were neighbourly and abhorred conflict.
The tribes lived prosperously trading with each other in their local currency: the Solana. The Apes and Monkeys sold produce to the Birdz, who sold fish to the Penguins, who sold ice to the Grims, who sold coal to the Solarians and Aurorians, who sold electricity to the Solstead Owners, who provided shelter to all who asked.
And yet, there was more to Solaria than met the eye.
Legend had it that buried in the rainforest was a mystical artifact with powers so unmatched that they who controlled it, controlled Solaria. While this myth spread far and wide across the land, it was widely regarded as a curious fairytale.
Because nobody believed such an object could exist.
And nobody could imagine the extent of its power.
